ILCO Showcases the Contactless 790 at the HOSTS convention in India

Kaba Ilco Inc., a global leader in access control solutions, announced the launch of its new radio frequency identification (RFID) lock – the Contactless 790 electronic lock – at the 2008 HOSTS convention.

The Contactless 790 electronic lock is the ideal solution for hoteliers looking for optimal security and operational efficiency. Featuring an intuitive contactless reader, the 790 lock fits into any hotel's décor with impressive style. It deploys quickly and easily, and its user-friendly application allows for easy staff training; no IT expertise is required.

The 790 lock is easy to use for both guests and staff. Users simply hold their keycard or token over the reader to cycle the lock. Staff can accomplish all key encoding tasks easily and effectively using the ILCO Front Desk Unit (FDU). The FDU is stand-alone and operates independently without a dedicated computer. Alternatively, the 790 lock can also work conjunction with either the web-based ATLAS system. PMS and POS interfaces are available, and both systems offer complete audit trail capabilities. The lock audit process is simple: security personnel only need a lock audit keycard to extract the audit trail from the lock.

With its Oceanfront Ultra finish and no magstripe card reader to clean and maintain, the 790 lock is designed to be virtually maintenance-free, even in the harshest environments. It offers access control for any door on the premises and is available in multiple locking options such as mortise, automatic deadbolt, slim mortise, cylindrical latch, and panic bar. Mechanical key override (MKO) is a standard feature.
