E-Plex® Standard Electronic Pushbutton Lock Certification
E-Plex Standard Systems
This hands-on class offers instruction on the E-Plex 2000 including Powerster Technology, E-Plex 3000 and E-Plex 5000 electronic pushbutton locks and optional software. Training will be provided on the ease of installation, use and maintenance of the electronic lock series, including the various models available. Students will be trained on keypad (manual) programming and instructional on the Standard E-Plex Software programming and audit trail retrieval using a USB to IrDa Adapter will be examined. Upon successful completion, student will understand the product features, benefits, installation along with keypad and software programming.
This class also includes hands-on training on how to manually program HID cards and card plus PIN in the
E-Plex prox locks.
Student will also examine the LearnLok feature for specific products.

E-Plex Card Access Systems Certification
REQUIREMENTS: Student wishing to participate in the hands-on portion must bring a laptop computer with Windows XP or 7.0, Vista Home Premium or Business operating system. Laptops must operate on a 32 bit or 64 bit versions. Computers should have a minimum of 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of free hard disc space, SVGA monitor (screen) with 1024 x 768 resolution, CD-ROM drive and 2 USB ports. Don't forget your power/charger unit.
This certification seminar offers student hands-on training with the Enterprise Software in conjunction with Kaba's E-Plex 3200 / 5200, E-Plex 3700 / 5600 /5700 and the E-Plex SAC (Stand Alone Controller) 5270 / 5670 /5770 units. The hands-on E-Plex Enterprise Software training will consist of a complete site set-up, user and lock configuration with access schedules and prox card enrollment. Upon completion students will be able to use the SQL based software to program users with credentials, create vacation and holiday schedules, door user groups, door managers, access groups as well as import user tables and obtain audit trail and report options. Student will practice programming access cards, access cards with PIN, and PIN only credentials. Batch enrolling, card enrolling, understanding Client / Server / M-Unit Capability and Audit Trail downloads will also be included in the certification seminar. You will also learn how to program and audit the lock utilizing the PC, Netbook, with the USB to IrDa Adapter (M-Unit devices). Upon successful completion students will understand the unique relationship among Kaba's electronic pushbutton lock series, detailed capabilities, installation and operation of Kaba's E-Plex Enterprise Software System.
Class giveaways include: E-Plex Enterprise Software, USB to IrDa Adapter, M-Unit transfer flash drive, listed as an E-Plex factory trained dealer on Kaba's public website, and seminar materials. A question and answer session will precede the Enterprise Certification Test.
Day two is a continuation of the features and benefits of Enterprise Card Access Systems with overviews of the FIPS 201 Standards with E-Plex FIPS Software and the E-Plex Wireless Accessories. We will examine how the FIPS 201 units apply to a specific customer base and how these products apply to your customer's requirements. New product overview will also be discussed.

Simplex Mechanical Pushbutton Lock Certification Seminar
This hands-on class focuses on the mechanical aspects of the Simplex 1000 and Simplex 5000 series locks. The class will review the Simplex L-1000, 900, 3000, 7100, 6200 and cabinet lock products and applications. Emphasis is placed on the many mechanical features and servicing of these unique and versatile keyless locks. Upon successful completion, student will have a full understanding of the application, operation, function, maintenance and marketing of these products.

This training seminar introduces all the components and technology used on Peaks patented key control products. This seminar will provide a detailed breakdown of the Peaks product lines, keying and specifications and Kaba's newest patented key system - Peaks Preferred. Upon completion, students will record keeping and key control.
